Gout Prevention and Treatment with Vitamin C

The number of reported instances of gout in humans has tripled since 1977 due to the main (But not the only possible) cause being that of Uric Acid.

What is Uric Acid?   It is a by-product of fructose, which is a component of sugar.

In a new study that completed by researchers from Boston University and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, states that people who ingest processed foods and drinks high in added sugar are proven to be 72% more likely to suffer from gout.

This study was actually a study on the health effects of processed Soda and Fruit Juices, and their effects on the human body.

Interesting additions to this study were that it was further proven that people who consume high amounts of sugar added products are 83% more likely to end up with Type-2 Diabetes, and that women with similar diets other than the addition of regular consumption of non-diet soda, weighed an average of 10.3 lbs more than those who drank one serving or less of soda per month.

Moving back to the topic of Gout; Uric Acid actually causes distress to human tissue and the result can often be that of gout.

For adults who are prone to Gout, 500mgs of food based Vitamin C daily as a supplement will help prevent future flare ups.

In testing of my High Dose Vitamin C + Oxygenation ointment, it was noted that the duration of flare-ups were decreased by 75% and provided notable, same day relief of inflammation, pain and began increasing mobility within hours as opposed to days.

Preventive measures are always the best course of action so if you are prone to gout, start taking your Vitamin C supplements to prevent it.
