Croup and other illnesses
What is the best way to treat croup? My son sounds like he has it. I've been dosing him with vit C, elderberry and vit D Thieves on the bottom of his feet and in the air? What else can I do to help?

You like this.
We had a bad case recently with my 18 mo. old and were offered steroids for larynx inflammation. We opted not to use the steroids. We spent lots of time in a steamy shower, but needed something for inflammation to get through the night because he would struggle to breathe. It did get a little scary. Ibuprofen worked well for us and only took less than 10min. To help. Sitting upright helps. Croup is a virus and usually runs it coarse in 3-7 days with the 3rd day being the worst. Maybe something naturally antiviral? Good luck!
Hope your little feels better soon

You are doing great!
You can add steam (eo of eucalyptus) to the treatment as well as onion compress... both on the chest and back. They really break things up quick! It was amazing!
Are you making your own elderberry syrup?
if so, you can add ginger to that to help reduce inflammation.
Get a pot of home made stock going with a lot of wonderful veggies as well as non-gmo free range chicken: celery, carrots, onions, GARLIC... pretty much any veggie - even spinach is game here.
OoO on soles of feet
Garlic garlic everywhere... create an Italian house.
you can also make your own "home made vapor rub" which involved euc eo
you can also make a Master Tonic

sometimes croup responds better to cool air, or cool mist, or taking out in the night air. Really don 't need meds
